We respect our patients’ time, which is why we do everything we can to keep your treatment moving at the appropriate pace and never keep you for longer than we need. Our top-notch dental instruments and medical equipment helps get patients like yourself out of our dental chair more quickly so they can get back to their lives.

Here at our dental office, we rely on accurate diagnostic tools like digital x-rays to capture accurate photographs of your mouth and help us catch any potential problems early on.

Additionally, our intraoral cameras allow you to see exactly what your dentist in St. Cloud sees, which makes it easier to take care of your smile and improve at-home oral habits. State-of-the-art dental cameras take the guesswork out of dentistry and give you the images and perspectives you need to care for your mouth.

To make your visit more pleasant and relaxing, we provide noise-canceling headphones during every visit. These headphones allow you to listen to your favorite music or television program while we work hard to keep your smile healthy!

Occasionally, patients feel sensitivity after a filling is done when drinking cold water or chewing. There are a couple reasons for this. For one, some patients have inflamed soft tissue that will act up right after the filling is done. Second, sometimes the filling materials are deep and close to the nerve, It can cause some discomfort for a couple of days after the filling.

Treating Sensitive Fillings

If you have sensitive fillings for an extended period of time, we advise you to contact our office immediately to get the solution.

Biotene products are great for patients with dry mouth. There are also prescription strength products if Biotene does not bring the ideal results.

At Modern Dentistry of St. Cloud, we only provide tooth-colored fillings made of resin materials. We recommend replacing old silver amalgam fillings when they are in the front teeth (for aesthetic reasons) or when the silver fillings are cracked.
