Modern Dentistry of St Cloud

As dental technology continues to improve, so do the treatment options of our patients.

We have incorporated modern dental technologies into our practice so that our patients can spend less time in the dental chair and enjoy treatment that is easier, quicker, and more accurate.

Here are some of the ways we use technology to make your visit to our office as comfortable as possible.

Digital Radiographs

Unlike the cumbersome x-rays of the past, digital x-rays provide us with a more convenient option to see areas of your mouth that are not visible to the naked eye. With digital x-rays, you and your dentist are able to view images immediately, right on the screen in our treatment room.

The convenience of digital images means results can be quickly emailed to specialists or your insurance company right away, meaning treatment delays can often be eliminated.

Digital x-rays are also safer because they emit less radiation than traditional x-rays. Because there are no films or chemical used with digital radiographs, they are also better for the environment.

Intraoral Camera

X-rays are essential for spotting issues your dentist can’t see with a regular examination. But the intraoral camera takes that a step further. It makes visible those nooks and crannies in the hidden-most parts of your mouth so that you can see exactly what your dentist sees.

These tiny cameras are about the size of a dental instrument. They go beyond what a digital x-ray can capture. With an intraoral camera, you and your dentist can view—in real time—a full-color image on a computer screen. Because your dentist can point out issues directly on the screen, this adds a deeper level of understanding for treatment recommendations.

Electric Handpieces

Electric handpieces are another way we can make the practice of dentistry better, faster, and easier. These tools provide more precise pressure and speed during treatment as compared to their air-powered counterparts. Because they are easily adjustable, we can offer patients a less jarring experience.

Amenities to Make the Patient Experience More Comfortable

We want your time with us to be as enjoyable as possible. To that end, we are pleased to provide amenities such as TVs in all treatment rooms, a coffee bar, a refrigerator with cold water, and warm blankets in the dental chair.
