Your First Visit
Once you have made your first appointment with Modern Dentistry of St. Cloud, you might be wondering what to expect. If it’s been a while since your last dental appointment, you might even be feeling somewhat anxious about it.
At Modern Dentistry of St. Cloud, we believe that the more knowledge our patients have, the easier it is to take care of their oral health—and that includes knowing what to expect when you come to our office.
For most people, your first appointment with us will consist of an oral examination and a professional cleaning. We usually take x-rays once every year, so we will likely recommend a full set be taken.
Please note that children under the age of 18 who come to our office must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Do not send them to their appointment alone.
Do I Need to Bring Anything?
The more information we have about you and your health history, the better. We request that you bring along the following items:
- If you have dental insurance, be sure to bring along your insurance card and any necessary forms. This will help us to maximize your dental insurance benefits.
- Please bring any x-rays that have been recently taken by another dentist. Before your appointment, you can call the other dentist to request that your x-rays be sent to us directly. If there isn’t enough time to do that, you should be able to pick up a copy and bring them along to your appointment.
- Make a list of any medications you are taking. Include the name of the medication and the dosage you are taking.
- Inform us of any medical conditions you might have and if you have any allergies.
What Is Your Dental Office Like?
Our practice was put together with patient comfort and efficiency in mind.
We know going to the dentist is not most people’s favorite activity, so we want to make sure your time here is relaxing and pleasant. We offer a coffee bar and a refrigerator full of water, so you—and anyone who might be waiting for you—can enjoy a bit of refreshment.
While you are in the treatment room, you can enjoy chairside televisions with an assortment of channels to watch or music to listen to.
What about Payment Options?
We believe that everyone should get the oral care they need, so we make it easy to pay for treatment by accepting a variety of payment options.
If you have dental insurance, our team has expertise in ensuring your benefits are maximized.
If you need extensive treatment that isn’t entirely covered by insurance, we accept third-party financing, so you can set up payments that fit within your monthly budget.
We take cash, check, and most major credit cards, as well as CareCredit. If you have any questions, we invite you to give us a call!
